SENIOR MILL ENGINEER / MILL ENGINEER
We are seeking an experienced Mill Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our team at PH PALM EXPRESS SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Bandar Penawar Johor. As a Mill Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance of our palm oil mill, ensuring the efficient and effective running of our production processes.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the palm oil mill, including monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments
- Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure the mill’s machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operating at optimal efficiency
- Ensure the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) running smoothly such as reservoir, sand filter, clarifier and water source for quarter’s area.
- In charge Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) evacuation section.
- Arranging the Maintenance Breakdown Record (MBR) from issue date to closing date
- Managing and in charge of the maintenance and electrical team
- Providing technical guidance and support to the mill’s operations team
- Participating in the planning and execution of projects and equipment upgrades
What we’re looking for
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar mill engineer or senior engineer role, preferably in the private palm oil mill
- Strong technical knowledge of palm oil mill operations, equipment, and maintenance
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Has 2nd grade steam cert. is an added advantage
- Training to become competence person in mill operation.
- Familiar with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Willing to relocate to Bandar Penawar/Jementah
