Job description:

Operate and monitor electrical systems including: Generators / alternators, Switchboards, DB panels, Motors, starters, Frequency Inverter
Ensure stable power supply for all mill operations.
Monitor load distribution and power consumption.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on: Electric motors, pumps, conveyors Control panels, sensors, instruments Mill quarters and effluent plant
Troubleshoot electrical faults and restore operation quickly.
Carry out insulation testing, continuity checks, and basic diagnostics.
Ensure all electrical work complies with regulations by Energy Commission
Malaysia.
Must hold valid Chargeman Certificate (AO / A1 / A4 depending on mill capacity.
Responsible as competent person for electrical installation.
Prepare equipment for inspection and audits.
Ensure electrical safety practices are followed: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Proper grounding and isolation, Prevent electrical hazards (shock, fire, short circuit), Ensure PPE usage and safe working procedures.
To maintain generator sets (steam turbine / diesel genset).
Synchronize generator with load demand with boilerman
Install new electrical equipment and wiring.
Modify control systems to improve efficiency.
Assist in automation or upgrading works.
Maintain electrical logbooks and maintenance records.
Record power consumption, load data, and breakdown reports.
Report major issues to Mill Engineer / Manager.
Fully utilise MYALM application in daily basis.
